    Are you an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse? Would you like an opportunity to give back to our men and women in uniform?


    We are currently accepting resumes for Licensed Practical Nurse to provide medical services at the Department of Defense Military Health System (MHS) at Maxwell AFB, Montgomery AL area in anticipation of an upcoming government contract award.


     


    Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, during the hours of 6:00am-6:00pm

    Responsibilities


    • Performs medical record reviews and applies appropriate protocols and guidelines to determine medical needs. Maintains patient medical records in electronic format as well as hard copy as required.

    • Provides family practice functions and medical care for military and their families, and obtains medical consultations. Manages disorders and injuries. Serves as liaison between training units and medical services.

    • Provides medical support to operational mission and serves as staff advisor to training unit commander. Regularly observes and advises on high risk training activities. Develops and manages an aggressive preventive medicine program, including education of personnel in healthy life styles. Establishes procedures for managing casualties in training accidents and other disasters.

    Qualifications


    • Certificate.

    • Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or
      vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the
      following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League
      for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
      (CCNE).

    • Shall have provided LPN services specialty clinical service area for at least 12 months within the past 36 months

    • Basic Life Support
