    We are currently accepting resumes for Cardiac Catheterization Technician to provide medical services at the Department of Defense Military Health System (MHS), David Grant Medical Center (DGMC), Travis AFB. area in anticipation of an upcoming government contract award.

    Responsibilities


    • • Provide assistance in other cardiopulmonary service areas at the discretion of the Cardiology Element Chief.
      • Chain of Command: as a component of the CCL/CVOR team, the administrative institutional support for this position will be through the technical director of the CCL.
      • Travel: Attend Annual Cardiology credentialing symposiums to accrue CEU's and advanced skill training, as well as hands on training for cutting edge Cath lab technology.(do we know where this symposium is?)

    Qualifications


    • Certificate

    • Completion of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Technician Certification (RCVT, RCIS) program, accredited Radiology Technologist program with a Certified Radiation Technologist (CRT) and The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

    • Graduate from a cardiovascular technologist program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) through the Joint Review Committee in Cardiovascular Technology (JRC-CVT).

    • Registered as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) as determined by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

    • The technician must have a minimum of two years professional Cardiac Catheterization experience. The technician must have worked full time or part time (greater than 20hrs/week) as a professional Cardiac Catheterization technician for at least 12 months in the last 24 months.
      • Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician should have at least six (6) months of experience with peripheral vascular interventions, preferably in a hybrid operating room environment. Technician will help facilitate urgent/emergent cases either in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) or the CCL. As this is integrated CCL (cardiac and peripheral practice) call will be for both the endovascular technician and CCL technician
      • The technician must have a minimum of two years professional Cardiac Catheterization experience. The technician must have worked full time or part time (greater than 20hrs/week) as a professional Cardiac Catheterization technician for at least 12 months in the last 24 months.

    • Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required.
