    On-Call Ultrasound Technologist 


     We are currently accepting resume in anticipation of an upcoming government contract award for a On-Call Ultrasound for Radiology Department Services NAVHOSP Jacksonville, FL and may also support other Clinics affiliated.


     


     


    NH Jacksonville FL


    Outpatient


     


    Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0730 and 2400.


    Provide On-call/ Call-back services for 8 hours from 2300 – 0700, Monday through Friday and for 24 hours from 0700 hours to 0700 hours Saturdays, Sundays and the day of observance of Federal holidays.


    On-call is scheduled in one week blocks and commences on Monday at 2300, ending the subsequent Monday at 0700.  On-call coverage shall normally be required every five weeks.

    This is a full time (40 hours) clinic position 

    Responsibilities

    Receive patients and explain procedures, providing humane and appropriate care and communication to alleviate fear of examination.


    Correctly position the patient for the examination and make adjustments necessary for the required examination. Determine if any special patient preparation is required.

    Qualifications

    You must have:


     




    • Possess and maintain one (1) of the following:


      A current primary certification and registration as a Sonographer from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S-ARRT).


      OR


      A current post-primary certification and registration as a Sonographer as determined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S-ARRT).


      OR


      A current certification and registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer as determined by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS-ARDMS).
