    Physician Assistant –General Surgery

    We are currently accepting resumes for Physician Assistant –General Surgery in anticipation of a government contract award for Langley AFB, VA. 

     

    Monday through Friday. Eight (8) hours of duty between the hours of 0730 and 1630.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Monday through Friday 40 hrs week
    • Supervise and provide general screening, medical care and examinations of patients
    • Annual mental health assessments
    • Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma
    • Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
    • Will be required to operate the ALTHA, CHCS and any additional computer system as needed for the performance of their duties, with no additional training within 3 months of being trained.

     

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree.
    •  Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and must have completed a residency or fellowship training of 12 months
    • Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review-Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
    • Be a graduate Physician Assistant qualified by academic and practical education to provide patient services as a physician extender under supervision of a physician. Be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC- PA), or its predecessors, and acceptable to the Surgeon General, USAF, is mandatory.
    • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA).
    • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS accredited by the AHA
