    Civilian Psychiatrist position: Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic, Jacksonville, FL

    Position start date is October 2018 after successful privileging and government security clearance.

     

    Clinic Setting:

    • Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,
    • Neuropsychology, Psychology,
    • Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy,
    • Speech-Language Pathology, Recreational Therapy,
    • Case Management

    Typical Schedule:

    • Full time, 40 hours/week
    • Monday - Friday: 0730-1630
    • On-call: 1 week every 8 weeks

    Responsibilities

    • Diagnose, treat, and help prevent disorders of the mind.
    • Prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
    • Ensure interdisciplinary treatment by reviewing treatment plans and progress; consulting and collaborating with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and other health care providers

    Qualifications

    • Possess board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Association 
    • Possess residency training and not less than three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as a full-time psychiatrist OR, have graduated from a psychiatry residency program within the preceding twelve (12) months.
    • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Current Medical License from any US jurisdiction
