    We are currently accepting resumes for  Physical Therapist to provide medical services at the Department of Defense Military Health System (MHS) in Hampton, VA area in anticipation of an upcoming government contract award.

    Responsibilities


    • Perform a full range of physical therapist services.

    • Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.

    • Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.

    • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual
      exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive
      devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.

    Qualifications


    • Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior
      to January 1, 2002.

    • Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in
      Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

    • Provide proof of professional development through continuing education within the last 24 months.

    • Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience as an orthopedic physical therapist within the preceding two (2) years.

    • Provide two letters of recommendation written within the preceding two (2) years attesting to the HCWs clinical skills. At least one (1) letter must be from a physical therapist who has personally observed and evaluated the HCW and who can attest to the HCW’s clinical skills in the care of patients.
